The Committee-The Original Austin Chapter (TCTOAC) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable organization, promoting higher learning education for graduating seniors, supporting minority business growth, and recognition of local legends for their contributions to the community.  Our hope is that we can be a source of inspiration and encouragement by providing mentoring to minority businesses and students in the Austin and surrounding areas.

 

 

 

 

Eligibility Criteria

2026 Scholarship Application Season is Now Open!

 

TCTOAC is proud to announce that we will be awarding Scholarships to qualified Senior applicants this 2026 school year.

Completed APPLICATION PACKETS will be accepted between MARCH 30, 2026-MAY 2, 2026 no later than midnight.

 

Please submit the entire Packet to: Mrs. Barbara Johnson-Langston at: sac.tctoac@gmail.com

 

Applicants must:

  • LABEL EACH & EVERY PAGE WITH YOUR FIRST & LAST NAME & Page #

  • Meet and Complete ALL Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a High School Graduating Senior in 2026 in the Greater Austin and Surrounding area.

  • Have a minimum of 2.75 GPA. An official sealed Transcript will be requested if you are chosen as a finalist

All information submitted is considered confidential and remains the property of TCTOAC.

 

YOUR COMPLETED APPLICATION PACKET should have ALL of the following items (Check List)

ALL of your Documents must be submitted together electronically before midnight on May 2, 2026.

  1. Scholarship Application (Print it out and type it out)

  2. Get a Copy of your 25-26 school year Transcript (with your GPA on it) from your Registrar

  3. Have a copy of their Acceptance Letter to a College, University, or Trade School for the 26-27 academic year.

  4. 850 Word ESSAY - THE PROMPT TO WRITE ABOUT IS: How can young adults build stronger, healthier communities?

 

Criteria for the Essay

  1. Title and Name

  2. Double-spaced, in 12-point font

  3. Please use 2 references to support your claims in a reference page and ensure the essay is grammatical and punctuation free.

 

The scholarship funds from TCTOAC are provided by the courtesy of the generous donations from our annual events, local families, and community sponsors. We would like to thank you in advance for your participation.
